When a child is affected by cancer, parents and caregivers often face the challenge of supporting their child while navigating complex emotions as a family. In this virtual program, Crossroads4Hope and Emmanuel Cancer Foundation will provide guidance on how to talk to children, siblings, and friends about cancer using language that is appropriate for different developmental stages.
Participants will also explore ways to manage the emotional ups and downs of the cancer journey through support from family and friends, as well as self-care practices for caregivers. The program will introduce free resources and support services available through both organizations, and attendees will receive a curated book list and hands-on activities to help children express their emotions."
