Where Hope Lives: A Place for Healing, Learning, and Community
The Mark Lipschutz Center for Nutrition & Family is a cornerstone of our new state-of-the-art facility—a welcoming space where individuals and families facing cancer can find nourishment, education, and connection.
Through food, movement, connection, and community, the Mark Lipschutz Center for Nutrition & Family embodies our belief that no one should face cancer alone.
Home to a demonstration teaching kitchen, an expanded Dodie Loughlin Wellness Center, and Steppingstone Clubhouse, the Center brings our mission of whole-person, whole-family cancer support to life.
A State-of-the-Art Teaching Kitchen
At the heart of the Center is our commercial teaching kitchen, designed to make nutrition practical, approachable, and empowering – for all people affected by cancer.
Features include:
Commercial-grade equipment for hands-on cooking
Demonstration and participant stations for classes and workshops
In-person, virtual, and hybrid program delivery
Full broadcast and recording capabilities for live or on-demand education
Evidence-based, culturally responsive instruction led by oncology-trained experts
This kitchen makes it possible for us to provide real-world, experiential nutrition support—both onsite and virtually, nationwide and internationally.
The Expanded Dodie Loughlin Wellness Center
The Dodie Loughlin Wellness Center offers a wide range of mind-body and movement programs focused on resilience, healing, and wellbeing.
The wellness space supports:
Yoga, Tai Chi, fitness, and movement classes
Meditation, breath work, and restorative practices
Programs that integrate nutrition, exercise, and stress reduction
Together, these offerings help individuals and families strengthen their physical and emotional health throughout their cancer experience.
The Steppingstone Clubhouse
Our Steppingstone Clubhouse provides children and teens with a safe, supportive, child life–informed environment to learn, play, and process what cancer means in their family.
This warm, creative space includes:
Therapeutic and expressive activities
Peer support programs
Educational and coping-skills workshops
Family-centered engagement
It reflects our belief that cancer affects the entire family—and support should too.

This facility:
Reflects our mission of whole-person supportive cancer care
Enhances access to information, social support, and wellness
Creates opportunities for connection, healing, and empowerment
From hands-on nutrition and cooking lessons to wellness classes to youth programs, the building ensures that people receive the support they need—when and how they need it.
