What to Expect

McCarter Theatre Center is working to compile excerpts of submitted pieces to create a short script encompassing the cancer experience. This will be performed by professional actors with a talkback about the creative experience after the performance concludes. We invite everyone to stay for the entirety of this performance.

The Power of Storytelling

It all starts with one.

By sharing your experiences and submitting your story, you have the power to inspire others to share theirs too, together making a difference in the lives of those listening.

Every story has powerful moments that can be relatable, inspiring, and for the writer, liberating. Embrace the healing effects of storytelling by crafting a narrative that reflects your experiences and serves as a beacon of hope to those who may feel alone.

We are inviting submissions from individuals at every stage of the cancer experience. Whether you are a person with cancer, survivor, caregiver, or bereaved loved one, we value the diversity of our writers and welcome submissions from all ages and skill levels.
