When a child is affected by cancer, parents and caregivers often struggle to find the best way to support them. Crossroads4Hope and Emmanuel Cancer Foundation have come together to empower parents with the tools they need to navigate this difficult time. Navigating Cancer as a Family will provide guidance on how to talk to your child, their siblings, and friends about cancer, using tailored language based on their developmental stage. We will explore ways to manage the emotional ups and downs of a cancer journey through support of family and friends along with self-care practices for caregivers. Participants will learn about the free resources and support available through Crossroads4Hope and Emmanuel Cancer Foundation and leave with a curated book list and hands-on activities to help your child express their emotions.
