BEDMINSTER, NJ—Thomas P. Schaible, Oldwick resident, of Schaible Russo Financial in Whitehouse, NJ received Honorable Mention in the 14th Annual Invest in Others Awards for his philanthropic contributions to Cancer Support Community Central New Jersey (CSCCNJ), a nonprofit organization located in Bedminster, NJ that provides social and emotional support at no charge to people with cancer, survivors, loved ones, caregivers, and bereaved.

Schaible has been a part of CSCCNJ since the organization was chartered and began delivering services in 2004. Since then, he has been advocating for and embracing the vision: “So That No One Faces Cancer Alone” through his role as Trustee, and as the leader of various committees and initiatives over the past 16 years. According to Lebanon resident and CSCCNJ co-founder Lynn Arnold, “Tom was the first person I thought of when we wanted to get community support and form a Board of Trustees for the original Wellness Community of Central New Jersey (now CSCCNJ). His dedicated and tireless efforts for people affected by cancer and their families was well known to me through my professional life and his steadfast conviction and commitment that we could help make a difference has never faltered.”

Arnold continues, “I truly believe his passion for supporting our participants in every way has grown over the years because he has seen such positive results in their lives.” Since its inception, CSCCNJ has served 14,000 people impacted by cancer and 100,000 hours of services.

Schaible’s leadership and dedication to CSCCNJ and the community was clear from the beginning. “Tom was a key figure in the early stages of creating The Wellness Community. He is passionate about helping people affected by cancer and has generously given of his time, talent, and resources for nearly 20 years,” says Nancy Dowd, CSCCNJ co-founder and Whitehouse Station resident.

“Tom has spent a lifetime giving back to our community, it is part of his DNA. We are so grateful that Cancer Support Community Central New Jersey is where he chose to focus his passion for making a difference. The lives he has changed through his efforts as a founding Trustee and philanthropist are innumerable,” says Amy Sutton, of Flemington, CSCCNJ’s Chief Executive Officer.
