Join us virtually October 9th, 16th, and 23rd
Learn how to support students
who are facing a cancer diagnosis either personally or through a loved one.
This virtual conference is offered at no charge.
This Conference Will Feature Keynote Speaker:
Tara Geraghty, BA, REBT
Counseling Practitioner Certified
Mom of Miracle Kid
and Author of “Making Cancer Fun”
Tara Geraghty brings a unique perspective for our keynote this year as both the mother of a childhood cancer survivor
and the President and Founder of Making Cancer Fun.
A Top 5 TEDx speaker, Tara teaches families and medical professionals how to use fun as a powerful coping tool
when faced with the devastating diagnosis of childhood cancer.
By sharing her own personal story, attendees will get a firsthand glimpse into what parents and children experience after a diagnosis. They will hear about the most common struggles families faces and the support they really need. Attendees will also be empowered about how they can make a positive difference for families and feel comfortable having uncomfortable conversations.
With vulnerable transparency and a unique ability to weave humor around difficult topics she opens the space for people to feel safe to step out of their comfort zone and find their own power.
Tara’s keynote will be followed by a Q & A offering attendees the unique opportunity
to ask difficult questions in a safe supportive environment.
