Cancer affects individuals, families, workplaces, and communities in profound ways. Beyond diagnosis and treatment, people impacted by cancer often face complex physical, emotional, psychosocial, and practical challenges. Cancer health disparities persist across populations, with marginalized communities experiencing higher incidence, mortality, and reduced access to care. Health educators report limited training in addressing these disparities and implementing culturally responsive interventions. This self-study program fills that gap by providing evidence-informed strategies, resources, and skills to promote equity and improve cancer outcomes.
This course aligns with the CHES Areas of Responsibility and supports professional development in cancer health education and health equity.
